Pastor's Pen - Grace Lowe
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15
One of our dear church members has gone on to Heaven. Grace Lowe passed away last week, April 18th, 2017. What a beautiful person both inside and out. I first met Grace back in 1997 when her and her husband, Bill, started attending our church. Shortly thereafter, they joined Timberhill. They both had so many friends and were so well respected. They had such good personalities that so many people were interested in where they were going to church. The next thing I knew, several families visited our church and joined. People thought so highly of Bill and Grace; their opinion really mattered. One of our deacons says that Grace Lowe is the reason he found out about Timberhill. Not only was she so friendly, Grace also had such a wit about her. She was so funny and I can still hear her distinct laugh. She was also a servant. Back in the late 90’s our parking lot was cracking (and it still is). I got a group of Senior Citizens together to seal those cracks. Grace, true to form, was right out there in her seventies pouring in blacktop crack sealer. She often would talk about the Lord when I visited her. Beside her family, the Lord meant so much to her. She would also talk about her church and how it was. It’s no wonder why she brought so many people to church. Grace has not been able to attend church recently because of health reasons, but this church indeed had a dear precious saint leave us to go to Heaven to be with her Savior and to be reunited with her husband, Bill. Grace’s family will surely miss her and we at church will too.
